The Therry Street renovation was an example of how passive homes can seamlessly blend style and functionality.
Starting from Dieppe Design’s blueprint, we collaborated closely with the client to tailor the design to their lifestyle and budget. Our team completely gutted the home, including removing the rear extension.
The renovations included excavating sandstone for a two-car basement garage, reorganising the layout by removing internal walls, and installing a new kitchen, bathrooms, and an ensuite. A luxurious parent’s retreat with an integrated ensuite and robe was also added. Two months later, we returned to build a granny flat at the client’s request.
Despite narrow site access, we overcame challenges by repurposing excavated sandstone for landscaping and retaining the existing cladding. While a specialist completed the pool, O2 Construction expertly handled the landscaping.
Nick and the team are very straightforward to work with, honest, flexible and reliable. We loved the finished product on our ‘stripped back to the studs’ renovation in Avalon and the quality of the work was highlighted when we recently sold. We were so happy we engaged them again for a studio build!
